Levante vs Barcelona 2026: Barcelona Win 4-2 in LaLiga
See more football updatesFC Barcelona continued their perfect start to the 2026-27 LaLiga season with an entertaining 4-2 victory over Levante UD at the Ciutat de València on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The result gave Barcelona five wins from five league matches and kept the Catalan club at the top of the table.
The match began with Barcelona showing their attacking intent. Xavi Espart opened the scoring in the fifth minute, giving the visitors an early advantage. Barcelona continued to control important periods of the game and created pressure around the Levante penalty area.
Lamine Yamal then became one of the main stories of the match. The young Barcelona forward scored twice, including a penalty shortly after the start of the second half. His two goals helped Barcelona establish a strong advantage and continued his excellent scoring form at the beginning of the season.
Barcelona went into the match with four wins from their opening four LaLiga games. They had already scored 17 goals in those matches, including a 5-0 victory over Valencia in their previous league fixture. Their attacking form remained one of the biggest talking points against Levante.
Levante, however, did not give up after falling three goals behind. Iván Romero pulled one goal back in the 79th minute, giving the home side renewed confidence. Roger Brugué then scored in the 88th minute as Levante moved within two goals and put Barcelona under pressure during the closing stages.
The home team pushed forward looking for another goal, but Barcelona managed to survive the late pressure. Karim Adeyemi eventually settled the match in stoppage time with Barcelona's fourth goal. His late strike ended Levante's hopes of completing a comeback and confirmed the final score at 4-2.
The victory was particularly important for Barcelona because Levante created a much more competitive second half than the scoreline initially suggested. Barcelona had looked comfortable after taking a three-goal lead, but Levante's response made the final stages tense for the visitors.
Raphinha also played an important role in Barcelona's attacking play. His movement and creativity helped Barcelona create opportunities, while the midfield provided the team with possession and forward passing options. Pedri was also part of the starting lineup as Barcelona continued to rely on a strong combination of experienced players and emerging young talent.
The result keeps Barcelona unbeaten in LaLiga and gives them 15 points from five matches. The team has scored 21 goals in those five league games, underlining the attacking strength of Hansi Flick's side. Barcelona's early-season form has also placed pressure on their closest rivals in the race for the title.
For Levante, the 4-2 defeat was disappointing, but the second-half reaction provided some positives. The home side continued attacking after falling behind and scored twice against one of the strongest teams in the competition. Iván Romero and Roger Brugué were able to give the home supporters something to celebrate during the final stages.
The Levante vs Barcelona meeting also continued Barcelona's strong recent record against Levante. Barcelona entered the fixture having won most of their recent meetings with the Valencia-based club, and this latest victory strengthened that record.
For Barcelona supporters, Lamine Yamal's performance was another major highlight. His two goals added to an already impressive start to the season and showed why he remains one of the most closely followed young players in European football. His attacking confidence has become an important part of Barcelona's early success.
The 4-2 result also means Barcelona remain three points ahead of Real Madrid at the top of LaLiga. The Catalan club now turns its attention to the next part of the season, with the team looking to maintain its unbeaten league record while competing on multiple fronts.
Levante will also have little time to dwell on the defeat. The club must regroup quickly and prepare for its next league challenge. The performance against Barcelona showed that Levante can cause problems even when facing one of the leading teams in Spain.
Overall, Levante vs Barcelona produced six goals, a strong individual performance from Lamine Yamal and an exciting finish. Barcelona's 4-2 victory extended their perfect LaLiga start to five wins, while Levante showed determination by fighting back from a three-goal deficit. The result will be remembered as another important step in Barcelona's impressive opening run of the 2026-27 season.
