Lord Vinayaka, also known as Ganesha, is one of the most loved gods in Hinduism. He is known as the remover of obstacles and the god of wisdom, knowledge, and success. Before starting any important work, people pray to Lord Ganesha.

The story of Lord Vinayaka begins with Goddess Parvati. One day, while Lord Shiva was away, Parvati wanted someone to guard her room. She created a boy from sandalwood paste and gave him life. She named him Vinayaka and told him not to allow anyone inside.

After some time, Lord Shiva returned home and tried to enter the room. Vinayaka stopped him because he was obeying his mother’s order. Shiva became angry because he did not know who the boy was. A fight took place, and finally Shiva cut off the boy’s head.

When Goddess Parvati came out and saw what had happened, she became very sad and angry. She told Shiva that Vinayaka was her son. Shiva felt sorry and promised to bring him back to life.

Shiva sent his followers to find the head of the first living being they saw facing north. They found an elephant and brought its head. Shiva placed the elephant head on Vinayaka’s body and gave him life again. From that day, he became known as Ganesha, the elephant-headed god.

Lord Shiva also blessed him by saying that people would worship Ganesha before worshipping any other god. That is why every Hindu prayer or ceremony starts with Ganesha worship.

Lord Ganesha is also famous for his intelligence. Once, Shiva and Parvati gave Ganesha and his brother Kartikeya a challenge. They said that whoever travelled around the world first would win a special fruit of knowledge.

Kartikeya immediately left on his peacock to travel around the world. Ganesha, however, slowly walked around Shiva and Parvati three times. When asked why, Ganesha said that his parents were his whole world. Shiva and Parvati were very pleased with his wisdom and gave him the fruit.

Today, millions of people celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with devotion. Beautiful idols of Lord Ganesha are worshipped in homes and temples. After several days, the idols are immersed in water with prayers and joy.

తెలుగులో వినాయకుడి కథ

వినాయకుడు హిందూ మతంలో అత్యంత ప్రియమైన దేవుళ్లలో ఒకరు. ఆయనను విఘ్నాలను తొలగించే దేవుడు, జ్ఞానం మరియు విజయానికి ప్రతీకగా భావిస్తారు. ఏ పని ప్రారంభించే ముందు వినాయకుడిని ప్రార్థించడం ఆనవాయితీ.

ఒక రోజు పార్వతి దేవి స్నానం చేయడానికి వెళ్లే ముందు తన గదికి కాపలా ఉండేందుకు చందనం పిండితో ఒక బాలుడిని తయారు చేసింది. ఆమె అతనికి ప్రాణం పోసి వినాయకుడు అని పేరు పెట్టింది. ఎవరినీ లోపలికి అనుమతించవద్దని ఆజ్ఞాపించింది.

పార్వతి దేవి బయటకు వచ్చి జరిగిన విషయం చూసి చాలా బాధపడింది. ఆమె వినాయకుడు తన కుమారుడని చెప్పింది. శివుడు తన తప్పును తెలుసుకొని అతనిని తిరిగి బ్రతికిస్తానని మాట ఇచ్చాడు.

శివుడు తన గణాలను ఉత్తర దిశగా చూసే మొదటి జీవి తలను తీసుకురమ్మని పంపాడు. వారు ఒక ఏనుగు తలను తీసుకువచ్చారు. శివుడు ఆ ఏనుగు తలను వినాయకుడి శరీరానికి అమర్చి తిరిగి ప్రాణం పోశాడు.

ఆ రోజు నుండి వినాయకుడు గజాననుడు, గణేశుడు అని ప్రసిద్ధి చెందాడు. ఆయనను ముందుగా పూజిస్తే అన్ని పనులు విజయవంతంగా పూర్తవుతాయని నమ్మకం.

వినాయకుడు ఎంతో తెలివైనవాడు కూడా. ఒకసారి శివుడు, పార్వతి గణేశుడు మరియు కార్తికేయుడికి ఒక పరీక్ష పెట్టారు. ప్రపంచాన్ని ముందుగా చుట్టి వచ్చేవారికి జ్ఞాన ఫలం ఇస్తామని చెప్పారు.

కార్తికేయుడు వెంటనే తన నెమలిపై ప్రపంచ యాత్రకు బయలుదేరాడు. కానీ గణేశుడు తన తల్లిదండ్రుల చుట్టూ మూడు సార్లు తిరిగాడు. ఎందుకని అడిగితే, “నా తల్లిదండ్రులే నా ప్రపంచం” అని చెప్పాడు. ఆయన తెలివికి శివపార్వతులు సంతోషించి ఫలం ఇచ్చారు.

भगवान गणेश हिन्दू धर्म के सबसे प्रिय देवताओं में से एक हैं। उन्हें विघ्नहर्ता और बुद्धि के देवता माना जाता है। किसी भी शुभ कार्य से पहले लोग गणेश जी की पूजा करते हैं।

एक दिन माता पार्वती ने स्नान करने से पहले चंदन के लेप से एक बालक बनाया। उन्होंने उसमें प्राण डाले और उसका नाम गणेश रखा। माता पार्वती ने गणेश जी को आदेश दिया कि जब तक वह बाहर न आएं, किसी को अंदर न आने दें।

कुछ समय बाद भगवान शिव वापस आए। गणेश जी ने उन्हें अंदर जाने से रोक दिया। भगवान शिव को बहुत क्रोध आया क्योंकि वे गणेश जी को नहीं पहचानते थे। क्रोध में उन्होंने गणेश जी का सिर काट दिया।

जब माता पार्वती बाहर आईं और यह देखा, तो वे बहुत दुखी हुईं। उन्होंने भगवान शिव को बताया कि गणेश उनका पुत्र है। भगवान शिव को अपनी गलती का एहसास हुआ।

उन्होंने अपने गणों को आदेश दिया कि उत्तर दिशा की ओर मुख किए हुए पहले जीव का सिर लेकर आएं। गणों को एक हाथी मिला। भगवान शिव ने हाथी का सिर गणेश जी के शरीर पर लगा दिया और उन्हें फिर से जीवित कर दिया।

उस दिन से गणेश जी हाथी मुख वाले देवता के रूप में प्रसिद्ध हो गए। भगवान शिव ने आशीर्वाद दिया कि हर पूजा से पहले गणेश जी की पूजा की जाएगी।

गणेश जी बहुत बुद्धिमान भी थे। एक बार भगवान शिव और माता पार्वती ने गणेश जी और कार्तिकेय के सामने एक प्रतियोगिता रखी। उन्होंने कहा कि जो सबसे पहले पूरी दुनिया का चक्कर लगाएगा, वही विजेता होगा।

कार्तिकेय अपने मोर पर बैठकर तुरंत निकल गए। लेकिन गणेश जी ने अपने माता-पिता के चारों ओर तीन चक्कर लगाए और कहा कि उनके माता-पिता ही उनकी दुनिया हैं। उनकी बुद्धि से प्रसन्न होकर उन्हें विजेता घोषित किया गया।
